1st Anniversary Gift Ideas from Readers: Starting Traditions

It is always exciting to celebrate your 1st wedding anniversary. Debbie shares how her and her husband started a tradition with their 1st anniversary gifts.



My husband started this for our 1st anniversary and has continued. The 1st year he sent me TEACUP ROSES to work in a teacup, confirmation for a bed and breakfast on PAPER, and FRESH WATER PEARLS. Each year we have continued this with each symbol! For our 3rd I gave him football tickets with a LEATHER football and a hat with FUSCIA piping presented on a CRYSTAL vase! Hope this helps-we enjoy trying to be creative. Thankfully he makes that easy!

I have just received the most amazing gift from my lovely husband for our first wedding anniversary, a sketch of my wedding gown by a British artist living in France, it is quite, quite stunning, I love it to death, it is now framed and hanging above our bed where I can see it everyday, such memories, such a fantastic present.
