Him and Me,
By Patsy Lyon,

She met a Scotsman,
Tall and fair,
With slivers of lightning in his hair

He met an Irish, Kinnish Lass,
Tossie – headed and full of sass,

“God Help their Children,” their parents said
“Within three months they will be dead...’’

He still has lightning in his hair,
She still has a crispy tongue,
The Gaelic blood runs strong and true,
Tho’ they are not as young.

Two bright and shining sons they raised,
With sparks all of their own,
What magic muses let them live,
To be so fully grown?

“There’s no secret formula,
There is no golden key,
I put up with Him,
He puts up with me.”
