8th Wedding Anniversary Gift Meanings
I have a question about the 8th Wedding Anniversary Gifts. Where do the anniversary meanings come from and do we have to follow the wedding anniversary gift list? It is my 8th anniversary coming up and so far my wife and I have followed the anniversary gifts for each year. But I don't know what to get her for this year. Please help.
Congratulations on 8 years of marriage! Well done. If you would like to know a bit more about the history of wedding anniversary symbols - check out our Wedding Anniversary Meanings page.
And no following the anniversary gift list is not compulsory, but I'm sure you knew that! But it is a nice way to celebrate each year of marriage.
As to the 8th anniversary presents, they are traditionally bronze or pottery. For the modern gift you have lace or linen. A pretty anniversary flower with the clematis.
You could get your wife a beautiful new pot, and pot some clematis into it. This would be a great reminder of your 8th anniversary.
Another option is, you could buy lace lingerie for your wife. Some tips: find out her size, you do not want to buy anything to big or small. Her size can be found on lingerie that she already owns - try to stick to buying brands she already owns (some different brands vary in sizing). Buy something that she will feel comfortable in, you will know this again by her existing collection.More 8th Anniversary Ideas
