Creative First Wedding Anniversary Gift that is BOTH Paper and Clock

Matt shares his great first wedding anniversary gift idea, that combines both of the 1st anniversary symbols. It is always nice to hear of new 1st anniversary present ideas as most people really want to make sure this anniversary is extra special.

The "modern" gift for a 1st year anniversary is a clock, and the "traditional" gift is something made of paper. I looked around online and found a paper gift certificate for a special rainbow sundial - a cool clock.

I gave her the paper gift certificate on our anniversary, and after some thought about where in our home to put it, we had our rainbow sundial custom made with a date line for our anniversary, and the time shadow rides that line on our anniversary day each year. It sits in the windowsill and makes rainbows on sunny days too. It is fun to watch the shadow get closer each day as our anniversary approaches, hopefully I'll never forget my anniversary!
