Yet both of us have held it true
Through countless winters with ice and snow
We watched each spring breath life anew
So many years have come and gone
Yet still we pass the test of time
I never thought I'd grow so fond
Of being next to one so fine
But now I am so very glad
That years ago I asked your dad
For his daughter my bride to be
For now we live so joyously
